Substitute Teacher

Cornerstone is seeking excellent substitute teachers at our elementary school in Woodlawn. The substitute teacher will help to create an encouraging learning environment for students while their teacher is absent. The substitute teacher will need to effectively manage and instruct the class. It is required that substitutes have a minimum of an associate’s degree and the ability to complete a background check.

Child Nutrition Program Director/Consultant
Elementary, Middle & High School Campuses | Woodlawn & Roebuck
Qualifications
• Must have Alabama Professional CNP Director certification or equivalent.

• Strong experience with computers and Excel required;
• Preferred Experience with Titan/Linq software and State CNP website
• Physical requirements include ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle required.
Responsibilities
• Direct the Child Nutrition Program in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations, local and state health ordinances, and school system policies.
• Plan and approve menus for school breakfast and school lunch to assure the nutritional integrity of the program and meet U.S. Department of Agriculture regulatory requirements.
• Manage the CEP program and requirements
• If applicable, manage the free and reduced-price meal process including applications, verifications, rosters, benefit issuance, and update purchase food and supplies in accordance with federal and state bid laws.
• Train and supervise CNP managers in areas of program management to include sanitation and safety, and meeting nutritional requirements.
• Assist administrative personnel in determining staffing requirements for each school cafeteria and be involved in hiring of CNP personnel for the school system.
• Plan and direct training for all CNP personnel in the school system.
• Check, approve, and compile records from each cafeteria concerning meal counts, inventory, purchases, and food production.
• Maintain proper certification by attending workshops and professional development courses.
• Develop and up-date yearly a District level Policy and Procedures Manual.
• Ensure that records and reports for Alabama State Department of Education, and USDA are maintained and accurate.
• Ensure a board approved Wellness Policy and HACCP Plan are in place for each site.
• Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism and ethics.
• Cooperates with the Board, the Superintendent, administrators, certificated and non-certificated personnel, parents, and students.
• Regular commuting between campuses.
• Any other requirements set forth by the Child Nutrition Program
