JUNIOR BOARD AND WOMEN’S SERVICE BOARD MISSION:
To serve as ambassadors for Cornerstone Schools of Alabama by supporting its mission, and creating visibility and awareness throughout the community.
Junior Board
Cornerstone’s Junior Board is a group of motivated young professionals who have an interest in community and the education of the children of Birmingham. From volunteering on campus, attending athletic happenings, and planning special events, participation on the Junior Board is a great way to support our mission.
Participation includes:
- Angel Tree, a Christmas gift-giving program for Cornerstone students
- Schoolhouse Rock, a fundraising event voted Best Charity Event six years in a row by AboutTown Magazine! Guests enjoy a silent auction, live music, event games, giveaways and more!
Women’s Service Board
Cornerstone’s Women’s Service Board (WSB) consists of women from the community who are passionate about serving Birmingham students and raising funds and awareness to support our mission. From volunteering on campus, preparing teacher treats, and planning special events, the WSB shares God’s love through their gifts of time and service.
Participation includes:
- Backpack Buddies, a weekend meal program for Cornerstone students
- Monthly Teacher Treats, a sweet gift that reminds staff and faculty that they are loved and prayed for
- Harvest of Hope, an annual fundraising event held at The Club. Guests enjoy music, a silent auction, and mingling followed by a brief program highlighting Cornerstone’s successes.
