Peace on Earth

From heaven’s all gracious King
The world in solemn stillness lay
To hear the angels sing” 🎶
One of my favorite things about Christmas is the music. I love listening to it and I love playing it! As a pianist, I have accompanied voices of different ages and levels of experience. For me, nothing compares to the sound of youthful voices singing together in sweet harmony, especially this time of year. It fills my soul with joy and peace.
In Luke 2, we read about the shepherds who were watching their sheep at night. “Suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”” I can’t help but wonder how the shepherds were feeling in that moment! While they were probably awe-struck by what they were seeing, I imagine they also experienced peace at the sound of angelic voices.
As we head into the weekend, I encourage you to find ways to experience peace that only comes from our Heavenly Father. Allow the Cornerstone choir’s voices to touch your hearts with the peace of God.
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
