The Greatest Gift of All – A Parent’s Message

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23

Every Wednesday, Cornerstone students K4 – 12th grade attend Chapel. This season. we had the opportunity to hear Reverend Mullen, an alumni parent, deliver a timely message to our Middle and High School students.

Her sermon was from Romans 6:23. She shared that her goal was for each student to understand that they have the opportunity to receive the greatest gift of all, eternal life through Jesus Christ. She explained to them that all they had to do to receive the gift was to proclaim, trust and follow Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It was up to them to receive the gift or reject the gift. Reverend Mullen then asked for those who wanted to give their lives to Christ to stand and then step out from the bleachers for her to lead them in prayer.

The power of the Holy Spirit moved right there in the Cornerstone gym. After a slight pause, one student stood up, followed by 70 students! Some of the students recommitted their lives to Christ and others received Christ for the first time.  We ask that you join us in praying for these students and our whole student body.

Our Kingdom Purpose, is to empower students to glorify God.  We are so grateful that the Lord used a parent to bring the message to our students and remind all of us of the greatest gift this season.
