Spirited Teamwork and Dedication




Cornerstone offers a recreational basketball program through BRIAA for students who are enrolled in 4K through the 6th grade.

The BRIAA basketball program is focused on improving basketball skills and to learn the value of good sportsmanship while under the leadership of parent coaches.

There are no try-outs and the BRIAA basketball program is open to all Cornerstone students who would like to participate. At the discretion of Coach Agee, a child may play at a higher-grade level, but not at a lower grade level.

Season: Early December until early/mid-March

Coaches: Parents (mom and/or dad) or grandparents or combinations

Practices: Weeknights 3:30-5:30

Games: Saturdays in and around Birmingham


NorthStar Soccer Club partners with Cornerstone to provide a recreational soccer program for children K4-5TH grade.

NorthStar Soccer Club is a Christian ministry that strives to use the game of soccer to promote Christian discipline and character development in its players.

There are no tryouts for Northstar. It is open to Cornerstone students as well as other children in east Birmingham.

Fees: Vary by age level

Coaches: Volunteer coaches and parent coaches

Season: Fall, August - November; Spring, February - May

Practice Location: Cornerstone soccer field on 54th Street N

Practice Days & Times:
Monday- Skills Night for U8-U11 Players, 5:30-6:30,
Tuesday- Team Practice Night for U6-U7 Players, 5:30-6:30
Thursday- Team Practice Night for U8-U11 Players, 5:30-7:00

Games: Saturdays in and around Birmingham

Uniform: New uniform provided on a yearly basis or upon first season. Players will wear their same uniform in the Spring if they played in the Fall.
