AHSAA State Track Championship Wins for Cornerstone:
Breia Smith and Steve Kamau competed in the 800m. Breia placed 3rd place for the second year in a row.
She ran an incredible time of 2:23- a new school record!
The girls 4×800 meter relay placed 3rd at the AHSAA State Championship. They ran a new team PR and school record of 11:20.59 These girls are the first relay in Cornerstone history to medal at the state championship!
Steve Kamau and Alaina McGinnis competed in the 3200m run and both set new PRs.
Tomei Fincher competed in the 300m finals and placed 9th in the state. Tomei also set a new school record of 18.43 this season in the 100 meter hurdles. Today she placed 11th in the AHSAA State Meet.
Kamariah Croom competed in the AHSAA State Championship Meet in the Discus. She placed 18th overall.
