Cornerstone School Enrollment Continues to Grow,

Hits New Record


Birmingham, AL – Cornerstone Schools of Alabama is pleased to announce another year of steady growth in student enrollment. Cornerstone School welcomed 535 students for the 2017-2018 school year. The count includes 303 elementary students, 123 middle school students, and 109 high school students. Overall, student enrollment at Cornerstone has seen an increase of 103% since 2014.

“We are very grateful for the opportunity to reconnect with our returning students as well as welcome new students and their families to our learning community,” said Cornerstone President Dr. Nita Carr. “We believe the continuous increase in enrollment is a testament to the work of our faculty and staff, our commitment to academic excellence and character development, as well as God’s faithfulness in helping us provide a world-class education in the inner city.”

The average enrollment at Cornerstone was 280 students until the opening of the high school for the 2014-2015 school year, which saw enrollment of 417 students.

“This is an exciting school year for us,” Carr said. “We will graduate our largest senior class, which for the first time will include students that have come through our elementary campus. We are dedicated to our Kingdom Purpose of empowering students to glorify God and we are excited to see how God will continue to grow us in the years to come. We are grateful to all of our faithful friends who give and serve to ensure a bright future for the students of Cornerstone.”
