Cornerstone Junior Board Hosts 17th Annual Schoolhouse Rock Fundraiser
Voted “Best Charity Event in Birmingham” Six Years in a Row by About Town Magazine

Birmingham, AL – The 17th Annual Schoolhouse Rock is expected to top the charts again, benefiting the students of Cornerstone Schools of Alabama. The live music and auction event will return to Regions Field this Friday, March 11th from 7:00 – 11:00 p.m.

Schoolhouse Rock is an annual fundraiser hosted by Cornerstone’s Junior Board and has become one of the school’s most successful events. The event has grown to raise over $1.5 million for Cornerstone’s students.

“Schoolhouse Rock is always the highlight of our year, not only because it provides an opportunity to financially support the school we love but also because of how special it is to gather with those who make that support happen,” said Allie Elliott, Junior Board President.

Cornerstone Schools of Alabama serves Birmingham students in grades K4 – 12. Cornerstone provides all students with a rigorous education while focusing on developing character in a Christ-centered environment. Over the past year, Cornerstone’s enrollment has increased by 11%. It has grown to serve 700 students across three campuses. 100% of students receive significant financial assistance to offset the cost of tuition.

“Having the local Birmingham community come to see the mission of Cornerstone and the impact it has on the Birmingham area plays a big part in making Schoolhouse Rock special each year,” said RT Davis, Junior Board Vice President. “We look forward to seeing our community partners in person after two years of a virtual event!”

This year, guests will enjoy a silent auction, live music by Just a Few Cats, event games, and giveaways! Tickets include complimentary beer, wine, and heavy hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are $60 per person in advance and can be purchased online at one.bidpal.net/SHR22.
