Cafeteria Workers and Substitute Cafeteria Workers
We need cafeteria workers and substitute cafeteria workers for the 2016-2017 school year. The hours are from 6-2. Job candidates must have a Jefferson County Food Handler’s card, be good with children, enjoying both cooking and serving. After Care Worker
We have two part-time positions open in our after care program. The hours are from 3:00pm-6:00pm, Monday-Friday. Applicants must enjoy working with children ages K4-5th grade. Art Teacher

Data Integrity Coordinator

The Data Integrity Coordinator will grow and maintain a reliable and efficient database of records relating to volunteer and donor engagement thus enabling the Cornerstone team to more effectively achieve its goals; provide adequate and appropriate technical and clerical support as needed and assist staff in cultivating and maintaining lifelong relationships with Cornerstone.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for proactive data maintenance, collection, and research
  • Serves as the point of contact for those utilizing the Bloomerang software, providing training, advising and assistance when needed
  • Updates database with attendee and donor information from all Cornerstone meetings, activities and events
  • Designs and directs alternative means of data collection including social media, direct mail, email, etc.
  • Works with the Donor Relations Specialist and Volunteer Coordinator to establish procedures for donor, volunteer and event tracking to continually increase database integrity
  • Assists with gift processing, acknowledgements and mailings

  • Maintains a schedule of board meetings, committee meetings, and other gatherings notifying attendees through verbal, electronic, and/or written correspondence as needed
  • Coordinates the distribution of all documents and correspondence related to development including but not limited to invitations, tax receipts, acknowledgement letters and other mailings
  • Oversees the management of all development, Scholarship for Kids, and volunteer files and ensures the integrity and completeness of all records and information
  • Responds to inquires, reporting and data requests concerning development, Scholarship for Kids and other initiatives
  • Receives, sorts and distributes all incoming mail
  • Proactively supports the responsibilities of the other staff members actively participating in other activities as requested or required.

Volunteer and Special Events Coordinator

Job Summary: The Volunteer and Special Event Coordinator will work with the Donor Relations Specialist, principals and other colleagues within the development team to manage all volunteers and activities associated with academics, special events, community partnerships and other initiatives in order to achieve increased levels of giving, participation and engagement within Cornerstone Schools of Alabama. Must have 1-3 years experiencing working in the nonprofit sector.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the Donor Relations Specialist and other team members to identify and recruit volunteers to assist with fundraising campaigns, academic programs and special events
  • Handles all tasks related to Harvest of Hope, School House Rock, Swing for Kids and other special events including but not limited to budgeting, sponsorships invoicing, event logistics, publicity, and follow up.
  • Manages all aspects of volunteer coordination including communication, recruitment, training, event staffing and acknowledgement.
  • Cultivates and builds relationships with community organizations to grow and expand volunteer and donor bases
  • Develops regular reports on volunteer recruitment, activity and progress to share with administration, board members, and other groups as needed.
  • Works closely with the PR and Marketing Specialist to publicize events and appropriately steward and recognize volunteer success across communication platforms
  • Assists the Donor Relations Specialist with executing, monitoring, reporting, and adapting a comprehensive plan that maximizes volunteer participation, community engagement and giving.
  • Works with colleagues and key volunteers to implement and execute development goals.
  • Proactively supports the responsibilities of the other staff members actively participating in other activities as requested or required.
